My son was born prematurely with a very low birth weight in November and was cared for in the NICU over the next 31 days.
What a remarkable bunch of people! Each one of them were with my partner and I every step of this incredible journey. They answered our millions of questions, always showing the utmost patience and always greeting us with a smile, even if they weren't having a good day.
They showed us support in so many ways, always involved us and took the time to comfort us when things weren't looking so good.
I am truly humbled by their compassion and have found that getting to know each one of them has left a profound impact on our little family.
I am grateful that my son was in the care of these ladies and gentlemen. He was loved as if he was one of their own. They celebrated every little triumph along with us, they sang to him, they gave us so many opportunities to be involved and they were always the number one champions for my sons well-being.
I genuinely hope that Dr Friedland knows what gems he has at Linmed NICU. These people give so much by doing their jobs every day. But it's the little things, the extra mile that each of them go that make them so remarkable
