I am quite unhappy with the way I have been treated as a customer of Discovery Health, My wife filled out her script early this month because she left to America and needed more medication for while she was there. Due to her taking her meds ahead of time medical aid has not paid for it leaving me with a R250.00 charge! I understand the procedure but at the same time note that she will not be getting her meds again until the next correct time, it's not as if she is getting extra medication. I explained the situation to a consultant who called me asking if he could please sort this out for me which was unsuccessful. After paying thousands of rands each month for my policy I think it would only be fair that this charge of R250.00 would be covered as it normally would. I am seriously considering changing medical aids as I have been quite unhappy with the assistance over the past few months with other general enquiries and claims as well.
