APPALLED BY LACK OF PROFFESIONALISM

I received a text message to say my account was handed over due to non payment. i phoned the practice asking them how they could hand over an account when i didn't even know i owed money, all the statements they sent me, had been paid for and proof of payment was sent. they then told me it was for a consultation in march 2013, i sent them a copy of my medical aid statement showing THOSE AMOUNTS WERE PAID. and they said they could not help me the account was handed over. It appears basic primary school arithmetic was also a problem when it came to calculating this amount, never mind accounting concepts of debit and credit (amounts paid/ amounts owed)...
