On the 1 December 2013 we went to SpecSavers Clear Water Mall to pick new frames and make bookings for eye tests. We picked what we liked and requested a quote for two eye tests, two frames and lenses. The amount we were Quoted R3900.00 for everything.
On Sunday the 8 December 2013 we went for our eye tests. We asked to include contact lenses in our order. We wanted to pay but there system was down. We were informed that they will arrange everything and we can collect the order the following weekend and pay due to their system problems.
On Tuesday I received 3 quotes for our eye tests and now the total was R6245 excluding the contact lenses.
I inquired way the amount doubled. I was informed that the first quote was for one person only. This was never communicated to me. Strange that original quote included 2 eye test and two frames.
I will pay for both the eye tests and the one frame with lenses as she really wants the frame. As for me there is now way that I will pay for bad service and communication. I will go and get my eye's tested at Torga optical and buy the frame and contact lenses from them.
