Refusing Service

I have been ordering my contact lenses from Specsavers Reds Mall for over year now. Generally, till now the service was acceptable. Two weeks ago I phoned them to order new contact lenses and the lady on the phone simply refused to order my lenses. The excuse was that I have not done an eye test in the past two years. Who the is Specsavers to tell me that I cannot buy/order contact lenses that I need. Firstly I need them to do my work (drive, read etc..) and secondly as an adult male I think I reserve the right to decide when I want to have my eyes tested. How do they know if I am even available to test my eyes at that point in time. It is like refusing someone medication they need to take.

I am not a child and I refuse to be told what to do, especially if I am the one paying for it. If they were prepared to order my lenses and requested me to also undergo the eye test when I collect them I would not have had a problem. (I understand why it is required) The fact that my order was refused is just unacceptable. They couldn't care less weather I needed it or not. I have been walking around with lenses that I should have replaced more than a week ago. I refuse to go back
