On the 09/06/2012 I gave birth at mediclinic limpopo Dr Tshivhula was my Gynaecologist, we are using GEMS medical aid and emerald option, we followed all the procedure with the medical aid and got the authorasation no: which we gave to the DR, he did not tell us that there its an amount that we have to pay we where under the impression that the medical aid its going to pay everything, now after seven months we get an sms on the 23/01/2013 from them saying we owe R 1038.50.the medical aid told us that he charged above the medical aid rates so they paid him R 3402.60 which its a standard rate according to GEMS. I think it was DR 's responsibility to explain to us that he is going to charger more than what GEMS pays.
