Highest option but i still have to pay cash

I was on the Onyx plan for 5 years the highest option on GEMS Medical Aid I've had 3 birth experiences through GEMS from which 2 was fully paid and the 1st one, I was not even on the Onyx plan I was on the Emerald option but my accounts and the Dr's was paid in full. However 2012 I gave birth in February 2012 to my 3rd child and August i received a bill from my Gynecologist that i have an outstanding bill of R6800 THE MEDICAL AID ONY PAID R2656.00 for the birth of my daughter in February 2012 whilst i am paying R6282.00 (my contribution to the medical aid) already. i went to go check my benefit available and there is funds available but they (GEMS) want to tell me that the Gynea charged over and above the medical aid rate. I'm on the highest option why am i paying medical aid then if i must still pay the Dr's as well. I am so frustrated with GEMS service in the last 2-3 years its ridiculous the call center is bad the amount of money i spend on airtime to call GEMS is outrages and they let you hold on at the claims department i swear there is nobody in that call centre. if im liabel for that Gynea account i will cancel my medical aid immediately with GEMS=Very Very Bad service.
