There is something I don't understand. On TV I see advertised that Discovery now has an insurance offer. Please tell me if this new branch of Discovery has been funded by dividends received by investing the contributions paid by members to your Medical Aid. My problem is that my husband and I are pensioners and our self payment gap for 2014 has gone up to R17, 000.00. How can we be expected to pay this amount when this year we have used up our savings and our above threshold. If you go into our history you will see that we do not abuse our medical aid, all claims are necessary. It would be a wonderful move on your part if pensioners could get a special rate or some kind of rebate. I was really surprised to see your advert on TV about the insurance plan, I feel that it is so necessary to improve our medical needs and not put the money into another venture. Please note that this is how I see it and I stand to be corrected. Please let me have an explanation or help me to understand Discovery Health better.
