1) I changed my medical aid from being a dependent to being a main member of my own.
2) The chronic meds were supposed to be carried across and I was assured they were. There were not! The chronic meds were claimed from msa wrongly by discovery. MSA ran out,
3) I paid self payment, then realising what had happened called discovery. They apologised and reversed so now I had R286713 back in medical BUT I had paid self payment already and was told that because i was now over threshold benefit the medical savings would carry over to 2013 and no claims would go against that money! Well surprise surprise surprise medical savings were used to pay those claims.. Three days after query, I am told that I was told wrongly by discovery staff member!
If i had been told the truth, I would have claimed back my money from the medical aid immediately when I had paid self payment and medical savings were reinstated! I cannot believe medical aid can like this from me.
