I have been with Discovery for more than 6 years. I recently tried applying for chronic medication for my cholesterol. I was sent forms that I need to get signed by the doctor. I booked an appointment to get the documents signed and sent it through to Discovery the next day only to have it rejected. When I phoned they said that this was due to lack of motivation from the doctor. I booked a second appointment which I also had to pay cash, and the doctor informed me that the only motivation I need can be found on the attached lab results. After phoning the medical aid today I found that it was rejected again and I was not notified. When I queried why it was rejected I was told no motivation. I booked a third appointment by the doctor today and was told he cannot motivate it more that it has already been motivated as it is in my genes as my mother has cholesterol as well. I am trying to get assistance from discovery as I needed my medication on 26/10/2013. I will personally hold them responsible if I get a heart attack due to their lack of assistance. I believe that it shouldn't be this difficult just to get your required medication in order to live a healtyhy life. Please help
