I have been promised so much when I was approached to change medical aids, but I am afraid all those promises was empty! I have suffered 2 heart attacks and has 4 stents, information which I disclosed when I switched over to Fed Health Medical aid just over a year ago. When I visited my Pharmacy to collect my chronic medication I was informed that my cholesterol medication is NOT approved! I have been on this medication for the past 13 yrs. With my condition I cannot go without this medication! Yet the agent tells me I need further motivation from my Doctor for them to add it to my chronic medication! I tried reasoning with the agent to no avail. All these facts has been submitted to them when on my application form! They are well aware of my condition as I had an Angioplasty last year where 2 of my arteries was blocked and opened due to my cholesterol problem. The account running into thousands of rands!! The agent refused to look at my medical history and stuck to the company policy! I am seriously considering cancelling my membership with you!
