Supplier: Would not refund unused voucher

I had a voucher for accommodation for one night. They dont allow one night stay over weekends. I notified supplier I am far from Middelburg and cannot drive for one night. I cannot afford another voucher as it was much higher than the first voucher amount. I informed them I wont be using it as I was also sick.

Voucher expired and I claim my R99 back as a voucher is regarded as cash - and if I do not use it, I would like my money back.

The supplier refused and claim it expired. Unused vouchers still regarded as cash in RSA. Even expired vouchers.

Consumer protection act:
- Consumers have the right to demand refunds for full amounts paid in respect of commitments or reservations, together with interest, at prescribed rates, from the dates of payment until the dates of reimbursement.
