I was diagnosed with sleep apnoea in 2006 and have been sleeping with a Cpap GoodKnight ever since. In 2010 my machine broke and was sent in for repairs. Discovery paid for this without any problems. I have now purchased a new Cpap machine and wanted to claim from Discovery. This is only my second machine and had to buy it as the old one is extremely outdated and no longer functioning properly. After about a month, and having to forward the email 4 times, they came back to me. To my dismay they refuse to pay for this claim.
It is extremely unclear as to why. I have to use this machine. According to the assessment made by the sleeping clinic, I stop breathing every 2 minutes in my sleep. As you can imagine, this is not very convenient and pretty serious. I need this machine to regulate my breathing but clearly this is of no importance to Discovery. I am on one of the more expensive packages but it seems like a waste. You pay so much per month with the hopes that they put your best interest at heart and this is what I get.
