I had to cancel my Medical Aid Bonitas & look for an affordable one. I googled & got Day1 Health Insurance. Started with them in July 2012. I had problems with their network Doctors in my area beacuse when I called them they knew nothing about being in Day1 network. I was sent from pillor to post at Day1, no one helped me from July-November 2012 till I decided to cancel. They even refused to add the GP I already have in that area. When I called to cancel, the phone was picked up by Sam & I explained my frustration. She asked me to give her a day to sort it out, which she called the same day with positive results. She even added my own GP. I dont even know Sam & I've never met her but she has humbled herself from just being a Consultant to a friend. I referred many of my friends & family members to her, she goes an extra mile in assisting a person. She responds promptly & give adequate responses. She should facilitate the Batho Pele (People First) principle to Government officials & everyone who's directly working with people. She is a true reflection of how we should treat each other. I also learnt a lot from her, to put myself in my clients' shoes & do my best to solve problems.
