I bought a groupon voucher for five hour spa day at Kingsway Spa (seriously??) & Guesthouse. Well, it should be inspected and shut down! As I arrived at the place I had an uneasy feeling. I was given a form to fill in and sign with (poor grammar - photocopied page with no logo or credentials! At no point was I offered water or the fragrant herbal tea (included?)
A long & horrible story of a complete failure of a spa experience that I can't fit on in this space! Cupboard sized smelly bathroom, wet bath mats, therapists clad in tracksuits & slippers with body odour, snorting throughtout "treatments", false products (Clarins on display but not used), no nail products/equipment for more than 1 pedicure (therapists sharing), lumpy nail polish, dirty "lapa" area near pool where mani/pedi's are done. Asked if I could order lunch after 3 hours or a drink and was told "NO FOOD". Eventually presented with black coffee & stale croissant in plastic. I dont drink coffee!! When leaving a man who was cutting fish in kitchen took my credit card with wet fishy hands to process (was feeling sick at this point). I was followed to car and told to return disposable slops for next client. AARGHH!!
