Our Pug was poisoned on Monday night, we rushed her to the Fourways vet hospital. They put her on a drip for 2 days and told us she was better and we can come and collect her. This was a lovely R4500. The next day she started bleeding from both ends. We rushed her back to the hospital and they told us that her intestines had collapsed and the she would need an operation costing R12000. We could not afford a R12000 rand and we should take her to the SPCA hospital in Booysens. The hospital kept her overnight and we rushed her to thr SPCA this morning. They did tests and found out that she had also contracted Cat Flu. They immediately operated and she died a few minutes after they opened her up. All of her organs had been damaged and she had holes in her bowls and other organs from the poison. They Fourways hospital had cost us R7000 and they told us that her intestines had collapsed. No mention of Cat flu or the fact that all her organs were damaged. The SPCA cost us nothing and they put our baby out of her misery. Cleary the fourways hospital is useless!
