My wife recently ported from Vodacom to Vitality Mobile in partnership/collusion with Cell C. We've been with Discovery for a number of years and when the opportunity arose, it looked like a perfect solution. Unfortunately it has been a nightmare from the start! Cell C immediately ported her number, terminating the Vodacom service early and then still took almost a week to deliver the phone and Simcard. When the iPhone 5 finally arrived, it was damaged and so returned.

When they finally collected the phone, it took more than 3 weeks to deliver a replacement! As a result, she had to buy a prepaid number in the interim. When the phone finally did arrive we assumed that we'd finally be done with the endless problems and calls to the Call centre trying to find out what was happening. Alas, the quality of the cellular service and severely limited network capacity means that it is nearly impossible to get hold of her because the calls are either dropped or it simply does not connect. The cherry on top? Vitality Mobile contacted me, trying to get hold of Margot in order for her to complete a customer satisfaction survey. Their problem? They couldn't get hold of her... Poor, poor service
