I received an email from DH following the amalgamation of the IBM Medical Scheme and DH. The mail states the following:
"... The recalculation shows that the Scheme owes you R 1 800.00.
We owe you this amount because of the recalculation and the benefits claims that were subsequently paid. The Scheme WILL pay this amount to you BY 1 August 2013 into the bank account we used for your claim payments."
My father was also a member of IBM Mendical Scheme and HAS RECEIVED THE MONEYS OWED TO HIM.
It is now August 6th and I still have not received the money owed to me AS PER THIS EMAIL.
When I spoke to your call center yesterday, I was told that there is an amount of approx. R1300 that is POTENTIALLY owed to me and that I MIGHT be paid after 5 months.
Wait, what? The email says you owe me R 1800 that you WILL pay to me before August 1st. I was also promised that a manager would phone me to discuss. I am still waiting for the phone call.
So somewhere you have to me. None the less, this money is owed to me and your payment is overdue by 6 days. I wonder what would happen if I was 6 days late with my monthly installment? Or if I offered to maybe only pay you after 5 months?
