Fedhealth Medical Scheme
Said I owed no money, then reversed my claims

My husband started a new job and has to be a member of their chosen medical aid, so we had to terminate our membership with Fedhealth. I received a statement with the scheme left date as 30 Jun. On 11 Jun, I asked if we owed any money to Fedhealth. While awaiting a reply, I paid an extra contribution on 15 Jun. With a new baby and the fact that we moved town, I wasn't sure if we owed money to Fedhealth. I paid 2 contributions in Feb. On 19 Jun Nonjabulo Masimla stated that we don't owe any money. Now they reversed our claims and we have to pay for everything. On 4 Jul, I enquired about non-payment of the hospital. Penny Maseko replied that the membership was terminated 28 Feb and the child was born 1 Mar. The baby was added 4 May (we even received a new card with her name on it). With a new baby we cannot afford to pay medical bills which we thought were covered. I spoke to Xolim on 11 Jul and he said there's nothing they can do, the termination letter was already sent, but they will repay the contribution amount I paid on 15 Jun. Why don't they use that for March??? This is probably their way of getting back at clients who go to a different medical aid.
