So sad that this lodge deems themselves as a 4 star grading when their offering is little less than 2 star. The management of this establishment is much to be desired - bad attitude, sourfaced individual, Ronel. On arrival, she claims she didnt know we were coming (though we paid and confirmed in full and I called her on departure to ensure she was ready for us). The house was shut up, cold, dark and unclean. Kitchen facilities were disgusting, furniture old and tacky. Two cleaning ladies could not cope with our guests needs but still expected a tip afterwards. The house is completely non-compliant electrically - we had to have cold showers to keep the geysers off in order for the entire house not to be without power, entire ceiling exposed & wires showing (COMPLETELY ILLEGAL and dangerous!). On departure (manager not even there to say goodbye) we received an awful email from her accusing us of breaking items in the house (though already broken before we arrived), asking why we never tipped the cleaning staff, and to never set foot on their premises again. After emailing their owner, Mr Rawlins, he never deigned to even reply. You deserve to be SHUT DOWN by the grading council.
