We had decided to go away for a weekend, just to get away a bit to unwind and recharge before the week. My husband had found a deal on Groupon that we had decided to take as we had looked on the website and were satisfied by what we saw and the fact that it was a 4 star lodge.
To our surprise on arriving, to find something totally opposite. The rooms smelt like dogs. The lighting at the braai area was so bad that we had to use our flash lights on our phones to see what we were cooking.
The "Peaceful" lodge was right beside a highway and all you heard was cars and trucks all the time.
The facility was just disgusting. The deal included a breakfast, which wsa shocking. All round we had bad service upon arrival.
The romantic weekend away to a 4 star Lodge turned out to be a disaster of a time.
