I was just booking airline tickets and noticed that as of the 1st of July, 2013. Discovery are now charging R25 booking fee. I am platinum status which equates to 35% reduction on my flight fees however that does not included taxes and etc and now doesn't include this booking fee. Why has Discovery decided to add this fee? Why were we not notified of this change? Surely there needs to be a legal notification? Seeing as I have a Discovery Vitality and Classic Comprehensive medical aid which cost a fortune?
Every year Discovery increase there fees by 10% while offering less services. The only reason I have stayed is cause of Vitality which the benefits are now becoming less. Which means I am now considering a new Medical Aid I am tired of being treated so badly by a conglomerate which cares more about a profit and its shareholders than its paying customers who keep them in business. I expect a detailed response as to why we are not informed to these new addition and not some generic response.
