After the birth of my 2nd son I was only advised now according to Discovery, that our gynaecologists is not on their panel and in a case like this they would normally pay the client directly, SOMETHING THAT WAS NOT ADVISED TO ME AT ALL. They were invoiced R5600 by the gynae of which R2763.90 was "paid to me" (Savings account 00076654559). The account nr that it was paid to was supposedly and account nr they have had Since 2006 and I tried explaining to the agent (ANDILE) that I have a cheque account. He then advises me that it's my responsibly to update my details and that
They cannot help that it was paid into the wrong account. My point is that IF DISCOVERY HAD CONTACTED ME AND ASKED ME IF THESE DETAILS ARE CORRECTBEFORE PAYING AND ALSO THE PROCESS IF THE GYNAE IF NOT ON THERE PANEL, I would have said NO and we would not have been in this predicament. I was advised by ANDILE that I need to go the bank reverse the payment then I have to fill in forms and fill them in with my new bank Statement and send it through etc. I do not have the luxury of going to the bank etc and standstanding in queue to rectify/reverse something that should not have happened. What is the way forward?
