Discovery Health paid a claim into an incorrect account under another persons name!! They say that nothing can be done about it as too much time has elapsed. I have been communicating with them for months!! This is unacceptable as initially they said they could do a recall and suddenly changed their attitude. No one ever contacted me as promised?
After cancelling my bank account (Account number 071856811) a few years ago that Standard Bank has reused the exact number on a new account. Due to that Discovery Health paid an amount of R1646.30 into that account under another name and advised me that nothing can be done to get the moneys back.
How can I get my money back?
As you know you have 20 days to respond as I am keen to go to the Banking Ombudsman.
