In May 2012 i joined Discovery medical aid before joining i asked the consultant about gap cover and was informed that no gap cover works in line with the plan i have chosen, now a year later i realise that i was to, i am trying to take a gap cover but no one will insure me due to the fact that i am 15 weeks pregnant and there is a 12 month waiting period for pregnancy. i am disgusted that discovery staff are not clued up and because of their lack of product knowledge my baby and i will have to suffer, i have found on the discovery website that turnberry insurers are linked to discovery, had i been informed of this a year ago i would have no problem, Discovery staff should have proper product knowledge of in house products and sister products to the company, should the hospital or gynae charge me extra in December, when i am due to give birth, i will have to cough up a large some of money due to discovery's staff incompetence, who has money just lying around, that is why we take medical aid, if medical aid advisors can not do their job properly and advise correctly how do we become informed.
