Since bankmed decided to change their policy wrt specialist visits, life has become a nightmare. Why would you encourage members to handle their medical aid wisely when you come up with the brilliant idea for us to be referred to specialist via a GP. I've been seeing a specialist for over a year and when I phoned the call centre to confirm whether or not I need to see a GP again prior to my next appointment, I was advised not to as I am an existing patient with the specialist, YET, my daughter has been a patient of the Paediatrician since 2009 and they not covering 100% cost, because she's not referred by a GP. Why do you feel the need to make my life miserable. I swear if I wasnt a member i would have less ailments, you are a useless medical aid scheme and I dislike the fact that im forced to be a member. And so amazing that your AGM is in Joburg. I would like to voice my opinion. Train your staff so all of them can give us the same. Pathetic.
