ER24 AMBULANCE
LIFE LINE VS LIVES

19 April 2013 around I had been contacted by the Mokopane Police notifying me that my parents had been involved in a serious car accident. At 20:30 pm on 19/04/2013 I contacted ER24 requesting that an ambulance be dispatched to Mokopane at the accident scene. I was told by the contact person that an ambulance will be dispatched and my call has been logged and I would receive a call back shortly. At about 21:30 I contacted ER as I had not received a call back, only to be told that I had not called ER24 and my cellphone number was not on the system and I should log a new call again.

As devastated as I was due to the lack of any service received from the first call administrator I spoke to and receiving news that I had never called as there was no record on the system, there was no sense of urgency taken into consideration or priority taken. Unfortunately 3 of my loved ones perished in the horrific tragic accident on that night and I still ponder on the thought that had ER24 responded to my call first time around they may have saved lives. The level of service received was horrific, inhumane and disgusting considering that the services are not for free and its peoples lives at stake
