I was not hospitalized for the past 7 or 8 years. My dr referred me to a specialist due to stomach problems. The med Aid insist that the dr. do the procedures in his consulting rooms and not is the Hospital as suggested by the Dr. It is very difficult to believe that the Med Aid is in a position te describe to a specialist how and where to do the procedures. If so, the Med Aid should appoint a Dr. who are willing to do his work according to the instructions of Resolution. I pay a lot of money on monthly basis and now get forced by the Med Aid to do what they describe. It seems it is the same as when a person dies. The family do not have a choice and have to pay what ever they charge. Medicalsceme: they know when you do not feel well, You will pay for to feel bettere: I need to pay R2 000 additional, or the procedure must be done in the consulting rooms, never mind what the reccomedation of the specialist is. I need a report from Resolution that they VERY clearly knows much better than the Specialist. And that after you have to hold the line for nearly 15 minutes... People need to test Med Scemes all the time to get the best service provider.
