I joined Discovery Medical Aid after getting recommendation from a friend. But what you see and hear is not what you get. I have four kids and I took the Classic Comprehensive Saver knowing that my kids and I require frequent visits to the doctors. I am paying - R4800. I have two types of savings, Compulsory and the other one which you get after paying for the self funding gap. I exhausted the 1st one and I had to pay for my from my own pocket an amount of R3900 in order to access the other savings. But to my surprise I am still required to make co-payments for medicine even if these medicine are above the schedule 3 category. I also noticed that my Spectacles and certain blood tests have been deducted from my normal daily limits. this is despite have sub limits allocated to me. I feel discovery is ripping me off as its costing me More to pay for this plan which doesn't cover you comprehensively. Please can someone from discovery explain to me otherwise I am currently looking for another medical aid
