ASKS FOR UPFRONT PAYMENTS-WITH NO MED AID REFUNDS

My son was admitted to Serenity Cares on the 29 Dec 2012 into a rehap program that is covered by my Med Aid. I was however asked for an upfront payment of R12000 (which is the cost per month) and will then be given my invoice/statement with the ICD codes so that I can claim my money from the Med Aid. I have been chasing them for 5 months now and I have still not received this. They have received payment from me so they dont care if I get the money back from the medical aid or not. On speaking to my Med Aid they informed me that Serenity Cares is a registered service provider on their panel and there was no need for them to ask me to pay the account upfront. To make matters worse when they eventually send me the account in was for an amount in excess of R42000. When I enquired about this they told me that for me to get my R12000 back from the Med Aid they will have to invoice the R42000. I was very confused about this and kept on asking questions and for a revised bill but have still not received it (5 mnts later). They also did not bother to contact the Med Aid for authorisation when I told them of the requirement when my son was admitted. I am still struggling to get my money.
