Dr's bill not paid in full!

My husband had a procedure done on the 26/04/13. Prior to the procedure I called both the medical aid and dr's to get auth numbers and to ensure that everything will be covered. I was told by Bonitas that the dr is not on the network and I should contact him just to confirm with the dr if he charged within medical aid rates which I did and they confirmed that they charged within medical aid rates. The receptionsist even contacted bonitals herself to confirm that everything would be covered and they confirmed that it would. The dr put through a claim of R6270.90 and I got a message from bonitas this morning saying that R3819.34 has been processed to the dr! I called the medical immediately and they said that the dr charged above medical aid rates, I call the dr and they said that they always charge within medical aid rates! She went on further to say that the medical aid knows its 100% medical aid rates as it comes off a national automatic system. SO please tell me who's lying then? This is not the first time I have an issue with Bonitas I never had these problems with Prosano! I am going to cancel my membership first chance I get!
