A tracking device fitted to my vehicle (Truck) which operates in the former transkei area malfunctioned.
I contacted Smartsurv and they notified me that an issue Will be attended to within 48 hours. It takes only 10 mins to a vehicle.
Furthermore they notified me that my device's warranty had expired and if I wanted them to repair or attend to the fault (within 48 hours) I was going to be invoiced for the work done. I am paying a large monthly premium and complained about the poor quality of their maps and the tracking device is over 15 000 km out on my mileage.
The rep also told me it is not their responsibility to notify me if my device malfunctions or stops working and they are just supplying me with a tool to monitor my vehicle. Two days have passed and still no response from Smartsurv. They are taking money for doing nothing, there are other trackers that are free that have better maps, why am I paying a premium for a dysfunctional service. My truck frequents vulnerable areas (crime) and now I cant monitor it.
