An insurance company recommended a tracking device for my vehicle when I took up policy. They 'advised' I tack a company called Ctrack although I had wanted Netstar with whom I had some experience. They said Ctrack might be unknown but it is better than all tracking companies. I took them on but ever since their first installed device, I had endless problems which included draining battery and affecting other security features. I lost two batteries in just over a year due to the device: their technician in Cape Town informed me that I had been given a lowly entry-level device. I spoke to his manager who said they would upgrade it, it never happened. Meanwhile I was paying monthly installments--the device never worked at all. It was not even feeding updates to their network. Eventually I decided to cancel contract, wrote to them twice to this effect. I have even sold the vehicle. They ignore the cancellation and still continue to collect monthly installments. This is in broad daylight--I am not sure how many other people are affected. But this is definitely a company from. Potential insurance seekers beware being enticed into taking their contracts!!
