Replacement of faulty laptop battery

I purchased a Samsung laptop from HiFi Corp near the end of June 2013, but after about 2 months the battery life only lasted for about 20 minutes before droppkng to 8% wiyh a warning to plug in the power. Due to not living in the area where the service centre is (Woodmead) I only managed to get there in December during the holidays. The service centre informed me that the technician was on leave and that I needed to return in January when he would be back - she advised that they could look at the machine on site as I could not afford to not have my laptop. Upon returning in January I was advised that the warranty for the battery expired at the end of December. It is not my fault that there were no technicians in December when I took the laptop in. I find the service appauling as they were not prepared to even consider assisting. To date I have raved about Samsung products and their service, which I will no longer be doing!!!
