In January I bought a Samsung laptop. Since April I have been dealing with Samsung with regards to the laptop not having a D drive. They insisted that there is no need for a D drive, as there is a recovery partition on the laptop, and if the laptop should crash, that can be used to recover the system. When the system crashed, I was unable to do a recovery, and Samsung technicians confirmed that there is a problem with the laptop. After that the 1 USB port was broken. I took the laptop to the Rectron repair centre, and was charged almost R1300 for repairs on a laptop that is still under warranty.
Samsung refuses to fix the corrupted harddrive because of the broken USB, as any physical damage to the unit voids your warranty. For 6 months, I have been dealing with Samsung with regards to the harddrive, now that a USB is broken, which has nothing to do with the corrupted harddrive, they refuse to help. Even the Samsung store I went to for help before, was unhelpful
The service I have been receiving from Samsung is absolutely pathetic. I have lost all interest and respect for the brand
