On the 24 Nov 2012 I purchase and Ipod 32GIG 5th Gen for my 11 year old son. He used this ipod every day and really tested the unit. It was still in brilliant condition. It started having serious issues with the centre button and the battery went flat in under half an hour. On the 20 Nov 2013 I took it in for repairs, with no invoice, To the IStore Gateway. I gave them the date of purchase. The assistant manager promptly looked it up, found the invoice, and asked me to hand it to the repair section to be sent in for an appraisal. On the 25 Nov 2013, i was informed from CORE, the service centre, that the unit was out of warranty. I promptly forwarded the proof of purchase to them. The matter was escalated to Apple and I was informed on the unit would be replaced. Thank You IStore Gateway, CORE Service Centre and APPLE USA. That's why I have Seven (7) APPLE Devices in my home. They do have issues, but with service like this why would I consider buying any other product!!! One week turn around time... Thank You
