End July 2012 we purchased a Samsung RL40 refrigerator from Game in Vredenburg. October this year the refrigerator part stopped working although the deep freeze still worked perfectly. It took several weeks and lots of telephone calls to get the unit repaired. It has again stopped working and between Game and Samsung we did not get any satisfaction. Their contractor is prepared to come and look at the unit on Thursday although there evidently are no spares in the country, they also do not know when any spares will become available.
Part of our problem is that this unit is at our holiday house and every time work must be carried out we have to make a 300 km round trip at our cost, in addition we have lost food that was stored in the refrigerator and went off in the heat.
With the holiday season coming on we now have a problem regarding the storage of foodstuff that requires refrigeration.
