About 6 months ago, when our microwave was only 4 months out of guarantee, small bubbles started to appear in the top surface of the oven lining and last weekend a large piece of the lining came away and fell into the food my wife was preparing. It looks to me like the coating used to line the oven had not properly bonded to the galvanised steel backing and moisture penetrated in between. Now Samsung tell me that I have to take it to one of their service centres and pay around R140.00 just to have it assessed even after I supplied pictures of the fault. We have had numerous Samsung products over the years that have given excellent service but I find this attitude towards brand loyal customers very disappointing and well below standard for this to have happened in an appliance that is not yet even 3 years old.
