I have a full Samsung Smart tv home theater system. This includes a surround sound 3D blu ray player and a very expensive 46" Samsung LED 3D smart tv. About 3 weeks ago I bought the upgrade kit for the tv and this is the Evolution Kit that Samsung advertise to be so great and to make your tv future proof. They also tell you that it's so easy to install and do firmware upgrades and all these nice stories that you as consumer want to hear. The truth is that the product is not as described. I do have some experience with high end tech and this is why I bought the system. The tv is not even a year old and after I installed the evolution kit and following the step by step instructions it only made things worse for me.
The tv can't do firmware updates as it should, restarts and freeze all the time. I had to send emails and make phone calls for about 2 weeks until TTs in Port Elizabeth decided to collect the tv and to replace some hardware. They collected tv on 02/09/2013 and I got it back the same day. This already showed me that they did not do a proper job and did not test the tv after the so called. The tv can't even get a signal and is totaly useless now. Model number: UA46
