Under warranty notebook refused to be serviced

I installed Linux alongside Windows 8 using UEFI.
Now the notebook does not boot due to a UEFI firmware bug.
Samsung refuses to honour the warrantee saying it is a software issue and that falls outside the terms and conditions.

Firmware forms part of the hardware! It is all over the internet that Samsung has bugs in their firmware!

I would suggest to never buy from Samsung, their hardware is good but their software and service is atrocious!
