Samsung product incompatibility

I have a Samsung Galaxy phone from my service provider, so I bought a Galaxy Tab for compatibility & when I wanted to purchase a 3D TV I stuck with Samsung for the same reason. When I tried to plug the phone into the TV via the USB port to view pics, video, it didn't respond. So I tried the tablet & the same thing happened. I went through all the options on all 3 products with no joy. I then tried a IPOD & it worked INSTANTLY, tried an IPAD & it worked too. I contacted the sales rep at dions & she informed me that Apple uses a different system &that I must buy a WiFi. I don't want a WiFi in my house as my partner is undergoing radiation therapy & had removed my WiFi for that reason. I sent a mail to Samsung to inquire how is it that their biggest competitors products work via USB but their own cannot! which is ridiculous. I had no response at all. I then went on to Samsung online chat & was informed my phone number didn't work. What about my email address? No answer! To date I have never had a response from Samsung. ALL I want is an answer as to how such a situation can be addressed to my satisfaction where I can view my pics videos etc without the KIES mission via P.C
