Before we opened the account to specifically get the promotional Samsung Tablet we inquired as to the specifications of the product. No one instore could provided us with the details. They then phoned Westgate store to get the specifications and were told the tablet on promotion is the 16GB 3G WiFi Samsung Tablet.
I was not convinced and therefore went the next day myself directly to Westgate to make my own inquiries and was informed by the sales consultant and the floor manager of the same details (16GB 3G WiFi Samsung Tablet)
Following this information and doing my own research on the costs of Samsung tablets I confirmed that the 16GB 3G WiFi Samsung Tablet was retailing at R5000 and therefore decided to take the Edgard's promotion as a result of the information received. When the product was delivered today it was an 8GB and not a 16GB which was promoted.
As a result the Edgar's promotion is a completely falsely advertised promotion where consumers are sold one product and provided with a substitute product at the same price, thereby over charging the client. As an 8GB is not worth R5000.
