On Thursday 23rd January I spoke to a Consultant at the Edu-Loan Contact Centre with a query about
(1) the deductions they have been making on my bank account, in particular a double deduction in November 2013;
(2) as well as the fact that they make the deductions on any day between the 19th and 25th of every month. This often leads to a returned debit as there would be no funds in my account on those dates - negatively impacting on my credit profile. I was querying the reason for just deducting funds at random because I had only given them an instruction to make the deduction on the 25th of every month.
(3) I asked the agent to change this and email me statements on the balance of my loans,
(4) and also explaining the double deductions. She took my email address promising to send through the information. She did not do that. I called this morning to enquire. The agent said the other agent I had spoken to had not left a note and he therefore did not know what was to be emailed to me, so we had to start over again. I found this to be totally unacceptable!
