I called Wits University today on the following number (011) 717 1000 with an enquiry about when the registration for 2014 would commence. My call was transferred to the first available consultant. I spoke to a lady and explained that I needed to know when registration for 2014 would begin and when it would end. The consultant was very rude to me and continued to tell me that I was asking stupid questions when I wanted to confirm the date that she had given me as the beginning date for registrations. After the consultant told me that I was asking stupid questions she then put the phone down. I called four more times and every time she answered when she heard that it was me she put the phone down. I would assume that all consultants should be trained on how to deal with clients and that there is no stupid question. All she had to do was just answer my question in a professional manner. I have never been treated in such a way on the phone by a consultant and I am shocked that a school such as Wits with a great reputation would hire somebody with such poor people skills. After such an incident I am not so sure that Wits is the wonderful university that it claims to be. The consultants
