No student Number or feedback received

I visited UNISA offices in Durban to enquire if there was any way for me to get a student number. The e-mail address "[email protected]" was given to me. I submitted my application for CTA and my e-mails weren't going through. I called immediately and the individuals I spoke to insisted that application for student numbers have closed last year. I went back to their Durban offices and they admitted that I was given the incorrect e-mail address. I submitted all documents again to the correct e-mail address and explained my situation. After submitting I received an automated email stating that Unisa will respond by the 18th January 2013. I have not received any feedback since. Iv been there 4 times this week and 3 times last week. All I received was another e-mail address or telephone numbers to call.

I have tried calling Unisa numerous times but no one is able to offer me any assistance. I stood in a line for 3 hours just to be told that if I do not have a student number they cannot help me.

If there's any help for me at all so that a year does not go to waste, I would be highly appreciative.
