As much as I am proud of my colleague who stepped in and helped the student in my absence, it doesn't give me peace that the student appears to have been sending e-mails to me which were never attended to, regarding ENG1511. I take my students very seriously and always make sure that even if I don't have an immediate answer or happen to be absent from work, I reply to their e-mails at the first opportunity after first acknowledging in writing that I received the e-mails. But I really am worried about what could have happened with this student who claims to have sent more than one e-mail without me seeing or reply to the e-mails. I tried to go through my student query file this morning but still couldn't find his name there. This worries me and if possible, I would like to ask that this student be followed up, just to get the e-mail address he has been sending queries to and the dates, or even better have the e-mails forwarded to me.
