On the 15 March 2012 My husband and I entered into a 12 month contract with rent a gardener pay close to R1000.00 a month for the service. We contacted the company and requested that the contract be cancelled due to affordability and received a very snotty response from the ownwer with the following statement - "You have entered into a 12 month service agreement on 15 March 2012. This contract can only be cancelled on 15 March 2013 by giving us a one month notice period" Earlier this month, My husband emailed the owner giving him notice asking if the email would suffice and he then responds "Thank you for your email.
Your notice period will be from 16/3/2013 to 15/4/2013." The owner has decided to add an additional month to our contract!
After searching the web I found that this company is a real joke and many people have been expoeriencing similar type of issues with this Company. My husband and I contacted the NCPA and they said they would investigate and gave us some advice .. which he claims is not grounds for us to cancel. This company is a joke - I have kept all the correspondence as proof of what a terrible company this is. My only advice - STAY AWAY FROM RENTAGARDENER!!!
