Good morning Builders Warehouse, Samair and Mark Scholtz,
I bought a SAMSUNG 12 000 BTU from Builders Warehouse about 6 weeks ago and was referred by SAMAIR to Mark Scholtz to install the product.
Upon installation I informed Mr Scholtz that the aircon is NOT working and I was not happy with the results. He then came back and re-installed the unit, with perfect results and a cool room.
However, barely two weeks later, the unit stopped producing cold air and I contacted SAMAIR. They sent out a technician who inspected the unit and had to re-gas as there was an apparent installation problem.
Again, the units worked for about 2 weeks.
Last week I woke up to creaking noises and water dripping from the unit - together with ICE particle falling on my head.
Again I contacted SAMAIR and they sent somebody on the 20th of Dec who spent 2 hours "fixing" the unit.
On Saturday the 21st, the problem occurred again with NO cooling taking place.
Mr Scholtz, the installer, suggests the problem with the remote settings and that I had it on FAN hence it not cooling. To clarify, YES, I did have it on FAN as the COOL function was NOT working and a compressor running that was not p
