I bought a ceiling fan from builders on Saturday afternoon, after fitting the fan i noticed that it was getting hot and had a burning smell.i returned the unit on Sunday and was told to buy a special globe to fit the fan at r49.50 and was given a new unit.on Sunday i was at checkers and saw the same globe for r24.99 what a shock.the new ceiling fan also gets very hot and smell bad after two hours of working.i tried to contact the branch but all the numbers on the web site are wrong.
