Your representative didn't provide me with a written quotation based on the list of work statements we provided on the day of quotation, Tuesday 31 July 2012.
Instead, he made a verbal confirmation that the list of work we provided would take approximately 3 hours to complete at a total cost of R900 (which included the R650 callout fee). It was on this basis that I made the selection of your company as service provider, as the R900 sounded reasonable and I concurred with the 3 hours. However, he did not at any point inform me that your company will be charging work at R300 per hour (exclusive of VAT) after the first hour. He requested that we provide the materials ourselves to save some money, which we did.
Your company representatives arrived at 16h00 on the Wednesday afternoon, instead of the 10h00 we had an arrangement for, and without apologizing and with a very rude attitude, only did 1 hour's worth of work before leaving the premises.
We received your final invoice on the Thursday before the second crew departed, only to find the bill being R3, 263.82! The final invoice contained materials to the value of R363 for four small items, with the balance made up of labour cost.
